Why Fenty Beauty Is Really Worth Your Time
If you have been following along with my blog, you know I love to experiment with my looks, makeup, shopping, and try random things. Well today was one of those days where I decided I wanted to experiment and head to Sephora and have my friend, and Sephora makeup artist, Lucia help me try out the new Fenty x Beauty by Rihanna. We used specific Fenty beauty products that I own and then added some of her favorite products to create a natural make up look for an everyday day look.
Fenty x Beauty
She started with a skin care ritual, which was amazing. I didn’t catch all the products used but it left my skin feeling brand new and refreshed. It was an awesome feeling. Once she was done with that, we started by using the FENTY BEAUTY BY RIHANNA Pro Filt’r Instant Retouch Primer. This went on so nicely, it wasn’t thick and it actually felt more like a cream than any primer I’ve ever used. The next product we used was the FENTY BEAUTY BY RIHANNA Pro Filt’r Soft Matte Longwear Foundation. This foundation is an exact match to your skin. I have light skin so I wear 170 and it does take a minute for the color to settle on my skin before it looks like my skin color, but once it does it is the most natural looking foundation I have ever used. Once we finished the primer and foundation, Lucia started a natural highlight by using concealer. We used NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer in Vanilla. She then taught me how to contour, however I don’t know how to replicate that so I’ll just tell you she used a Kat Von D palette (not sure which one).
Next she used the FENTY BEAUTY BY RIHANNA Killawatt Freestyle Highlighter in the Lightning Dust/Fire Crystal shade. She used the Lighting Dust on my face. I personally own the Mean Money/Hu$tla Baby. For my eyes, she used the TARTE Tartelette In Bloom Clay Eyeshadow Palette to make a very natural look. I absolutely loved how Lucia did them. To finish off my face before we set it was to use the FENTY BEAUTY BY RIHANNA Invisimatte Blotting Powder. After that, she set my face with the CAUDALIE Beauty Elixir and add the final touches: the FENTY BEAUTY BY RIHANNA Gloss Bomb Universal Lip Luminizer.
Now that I’ve gone through the steps and products we used to make me over, let me tell you why I believe Fenty is worth a look at. As much as I like to experiment, I don’t think I’ve ever found a primer or foundation that set so naturally and didn’t leave me cakey. It lasts all day. It’s meant to be sweat and swim proof, and I don’t feel it running down my face in the 90 degree weather we have here in Florida like I used to with my other foundations. I even purchased the FENTY BEAUTY BY RIHANNA Precision Makeup Sponge 100 rather than a Beauty Blender because it’s cheaper and softer than a Beauty Blender and Lucia recommended it. I don’t have the setting powder yet, but it’s the last product I’m missing so it’ll be joining the others soon.
I really truly believe that Rihanna knows what she is doing. I love her Fenty x Puma collection and now I’m a fan of her Fenty x Beauty collection. Her products are for real people and really leave a mark on others. The quality is that of someone who took the time to get it right and that she did. Fenty is worth every penny and as I scramble to collect all of mine (I hear there are more Fenty x Beauty products dropping this week) I definitely recommend for you to gather yours and take a shot on trying this brand.
After the makeover, this is the final look. Let me know what you think. Have you ever tried these products? What are your thoughts about them? Do you like other products better?
